Linda graduated from Highland High School in1964, where she participated in several singing groups. She had a marvelous singing voice and had aspirations of singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She attended the University of Utah and worked as a legal secretary and medical transcriptionist. She could type 120 WPM with no errors.
She married Jack Schroader later divorced. Married George L. Peck on May 20, 1971, in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS church. She was very active in church and loved her callings in the Relief Society and Young Women Organization. Linda was a caring and unselfish person, devoting her life to the service of others. She had a strong testimony and was unafraid to share it with many people. One of her cherished experiences was to speak at the funeral of a good friend along with President Thomas S. Monson, and other dignitaries.
Linda and George are the parents of four wonderful children who were lovingly taught principles and values that strengthened their family. Linda was devoted to her children and became the compass and center of their lives. She is small, but very feisty and would not allow anyone to harm her children in any way.
Linda was always "up for anything" and loved to travel with good friends and relatives. She was able to visit every continent except Antarctica, and if she had kept her health, was willing to go there also. She loved the family cabin at Timber Lakes, and especially loved to visit Uncle Rod and Aunt Maureen at their cabin close by.
Linda's accomplishments didn't win her any medals or worldly praise. Her growth was purely spiritual, especially in the service of others. We know she made our Savior smile!
Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, three children: Sandy, Natalie Poulsen (Jason), and Alex (Ashley), seven grandchildren; Gabriel, Ethan, and Alphonse Peck; Aubrey and Mackenzie Cronkhite; and Aspen and Autumn Peck. Preceded in death by her son Joey (Erin).
The family would like to thank Dixie Home Rehab and Hospice, especially Pauline and Vanessa, who made this challenge much easier.
