Karen graduated from the University of Utah, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Master’s Degree in Psychology. She was a school psychologist for many years, making a positive difference in the lives of children and families.
Karen was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in numerous callings. She loved to attend the temple, especially with her family. She was a great friend to all her neighbors, and loved to bake and share Christmas cookies. To her children and grandchildren, she was a courageous, selfless, strong, and loving woman who was able to rise above every challenge she faced.
Even as her body weakened, her mind remained strong, and she greeted visitors and caregivers with a friendly smile. She has an abiding testimony of Jesus Christ and the Plan of Happiness, and appreciated the numerous visits and blessings she received in her final days.
