John Weston

John E. Weston; husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, departed this life on June 7, 2012, at the age of 90.

John was born to Joseph and Grace Eldredge Weston on January 1, 1922, one of nine children. He was born and raised on the family ranch in Meadowville, UT. He spent many years working the ranch until coming to Salt Lake to work as an Assembly Mechanic at Eimco for over twenty years. After retirement, he was proud to serve the Salt Lake City Police Department as a Crossing Guard for eight years. John was a member of the U.S. Army and served in Germany during World War II.

John married Jewell Miller, later divorced. Married Olive Young and enjoyed 38 wonderful years together in the Salt Lake area. John loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time on his ranch in the beautiful Bear Lake Valley. John was a friend to everyone, always there to lend a helping hand where needed.

John is survived by his wife Olive, four sons; Vaughn (Linda) Weston, Dean Weston, Melvin (Christine) Weston, and Grant (Denise) Weston. Stepchildren; Brent Young, Scott (Cyndee) Young, Judy (Keith) Hafen, Susan (Joe) Tedrow, Melody (Mark) Mahony. 35 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Sister Ruth Block, and Sister in Law June Weston. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, six brothers and one sister.
