Evelyn Smith

She was born December 26th, 1921 in Ogden Utah, the youngest of 5 children born to Ren and Ida Bowman.

Evelyn graduated from East High School and later married Frank H. Smith on June 24th 1946. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. 

 Evelyn's family was the center of her life, and she was the center of our family. She lived her life with a fiery grace.

 She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on many assignments including a church member locating mission at Church Headquarters in SLC.

Evelyn is survived by 2 daughters Sue Thomas (Dave), Lynne Hackford (Gary), and 5 sons Doug (JoAnn), Jeff (Suzi), Brad (Dana), Frank (Cheryl), Chris (Gabi). 

30 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, brothers Bill, Vic, Ren, and sister Jeanette Nasfell.

Mom will be deeply missed, but we rejoice that she is reunited with her loving husband Frank.

A viewing will be held on Friday, December 2nd 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Mortuary at 3401 South Highland Drive SLC Utah. Memorial services will be on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Valley View 12th Ward Chapel, 2125 East Evergreen Ave. SLC, Utah. A viewing at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
