Our loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend lost her nine year battle with Breast Cancer on June 9, 2013. Cynthia passed away at her home surrounded by her family in the loving arms of her husband. Cynthia was born to James Owen Ivie and Niela Oaks Ivie on June 5, 1967. After the passing of Owen, Niela married Jerry Mack Bennett and he later adopted and raised Cynthia. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Cynthia attended Granite High School where she excelled in academics and was a member of the Pep Club along with becoming a Certified Medical Assistant at the Bryman School. Cynthia married Richard L. Stanbrough on June 10, 1986 and together they had three wonderful children, Kaycee, James Tyler, and Cody and then adopted their grandson Daxton. Cynthia is survived by her husband and four children, her parents Niela and Jerry Bennett, Brother; Keith (Eileen) Bennett, Sisters; Suzanne (Mike) Burton and Lynn (Jason) Kelsch and countless nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father James Owen Ivie. Cynthia fought her battle with Breast Cancer with grace and dignity, often suffering silently as not to upset those around her. We will miss her sweet spirit and generous nature. We, her family, feel truly blessed for the years we have shared with her. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted at any Wells Fargo Bank under Daxton Stanbrough. Services will be held Saturday June 15 at 11:00 AM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary 3401 Highland Drive. A viewing will be held the evening prior from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday.
