Lee was born Nov. 23, 1927 in Salt Lake City to Charles Levi (“Kelly”) and Jemima Davis Ericson. He attended East High School and the University of Utah, where he played on the football team. As a young man, he learned to work hard on the back of a horse as a camp mover in the High Uintas. His life was marked by service and dedication to the things he loved and believed in: his faith in God and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, his family, and his fellow man. Lee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions. He spent his life in service to others, including his time as a missionary in the Southern States and, later in life, at Temple Square, LDS Business College, and the Nauvoo Temple, and as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He enjoyed a long career in the medical equipment business and served in the United States Army. His family was his greatest treasure.
Lee married Marion Gottfredson in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 28. 1953. They enjoyed 43 wonderful years together before she passed away in 1996. Together they have six children: David (Karen), Steven (Kay), Kathryn Nielsen (Kerry), Karla Lloyd (Barry), Richard (Christine), and Janet Leonard (Scott); 27 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. In 2000, Lee married Patricia Stephens, who was a supportive and loving companion. Her children are Allen, Julie, April, Chris, Tracy, Bryan, and Ted. Lee is also survived by brothers Ray Ericson and Loyd Ericson.
