Carol Ann Schroeder Hunter passed away peacefully on May 14, 2021. She was born November 15, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Nadine Annette Bowman and Louis Joseph Schroeder. She married Robert Hunter in 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She graduated from Skyline High School and attended the University of Utah. She worked at Dugway Proving Grounds for 20 years as a contractor for the Federal Government before retiring. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a frequent temple attendee. She loved poetry, crocheting blankets for family, friends, and babies and loved to go on long drives.
She is survived by three sons, Mark Furlong, Jeremy (Anona) Hunter, Shaun Hunter; siblings, Rodney (Sharon) Schroeder, Bryant (Diane) Schroeder, and Cindy Schroeder; 14 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; and ex-husband, Robert.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00am at the Westland 8th Ward, 7115 South 3200 West. Friends and family are invited to visit Thursday evening 6:00-8:00pm at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church Friday morning 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
