Beth was born May 16, 1929 in Richfield Utah to Clarence P. Black and Frieda Brox Black. She passed away August 8, 2022 at the age of 93.
She married Paul Fred Taylor February 21, 1948. They had seven children: Gregory Taylor (deceased), Leslie Kesten (Greg), Mike Taylor (Lisa), Joy Rinker (Craig), Jim Taylor (Cheri), Dave Taylor (Stacey) and Suzanne Taylor. She had 16 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Taylor and firstborn son Gregory Taylor.
Her last four years were spent living at Beacon Crest Senior Center, where she made many dear friends. Wherever she lived, she loved walking. She especially loved taking treats for the neighborhood dogs on her route.
She and Paul enjoyed traveling, especially with family and their many friends. Beth and Paul both loved singing and were members of the Utah Symphony Chorus. She also sang in other groups, played tennis, and lovingly served those around her. She was skilled in knitting and crocheting. She also created many beautiful oil paintings. She was always up for a good game – Cards, Dominoes, Rumicube, etc.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings in Scouting, Primary, Music and Relief Society.
She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11 am at the Draper 1st Ward LDS chapel located at 12353 South 600 East, Draper, Utah, where a viewing will be held Monday evening, August 22, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again Tuesday morning from 10:00 am to 10:45 am prior to the services. Interment will follow the services at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
