Amy I will miss your goofy jokes and silly dancing, you always made me laugh. your bright optimism and never failing smile are going to be hard to be without. I love you like a sister and you were always there for me. Thank you.  I miss you and love you so very much.

I was so sad to hear about Amy's death. I love you and your family so much. The first image that came into my mind when I heard the news was that of Uncle Ralph giving her a great big wonderful hug. I have such fond memories of all of us getting together back when we were kids. Those were days never to be forgotten.

Amy,what a delight! A woman of great humor and love. It was a privilege to have known such a beautiful person. It breaks my heart that I was out of town and missed her tribute. Amy's smile will be forever in my heart. May your memories of Amy bring you comfort in the days ahead.

I met Amy a few years ago under more than strenuous circumstances, but she became a friend I loved and admired.  I saw her just a few days before she passed and she was the beautiful, loving and caring person she always was.  She was a friend and confidant and just a great human being!  I will truly miss her but will always feel her love and strength toward humanity.

To the family of Amy Ellingson - I want to express my sincere love and condolences at her passing.  Amy came into my life when I was serving as a Bishop to the homeless at Welfare Square.  I have served off and on at Welfare Square for over 5 years, and Amy is one of the few individuals who truly captured my heart.  My memory tells me the last time I saw her she had rented a small apartment in the Avenues, and was so excited to have a place of her own.  To Amy's mother, I would say that she expressed her great love for you, and was concerned for the problems she might have caused you.  She was going to introduce you to me at Little America during lunch one day, but I never could find the two of you.  As I thought of what I could do to honor Amy, I thought it might be appropriate that I give a $100 bill to the next Amy that needs a little encouragement for the moment, with the promise that when they get on their feet that they will find someone who needs the $100 more than they do, and pass it on in the name of Amy.  As she passed through the veil to the other side, I feel certain that Amy was welcomed with open arms by her Savior--Jesus Christ.  I truly had a special place in my heart for Amy, and felt great sorrow at her passing.  May the Lord bless you in your time of sorrow.  She loved her siblings, her mother and expressed love for her stepfather who she said had been very good to her.  May the Lord bless you.

Dear Betty,  

I don't know you but want you to know that your daughter was a bright spot for me and my family whenever we lunched at Sharon's.  Amy had a great memory for faces and a funny sense of humor.  It was nice to walk in and see a familiar smiling face.  Our lunches at the restaurant won't be the same without her.  She'll be greatly missed.

From the first time I met Amy at Sharon's she became an instant friend, when I needed a smile or a laugh I would stop by and she was there for me , thank you Amy for your gift of friendship- my deepest condolences for your family.
