Wayne Lee Wilkinson of N. Chesterfield, VA, born 10-11-1946, passed away suddenly at his home on 3-4-2020. He is preceded in death by his father, George Scott Wilkinson; mother, Bronah Lamm Wilkinson; brother, George Scott Wilkinson; sisters, Helen West Moreland, Ann Trelax, Virginia Cambell, and Ethel Davis. He is survived by his wife Sharie D. Wilkinson of 20 years but had shared many years together since 1986. Wayne was an electrician and had retired from Local Union 666 in 2008. His passion for doing it right the first time was apparent and he had a long history of good work ethics. He was an avid Nascar fan and always had road trip tales to share that he took in Daytona with many of his friends. Other hobbies included fishing and grilling with a short one in hand; he said it helped with the flavor and something to sip on if the fish were not biting. Wayne’s warm smile and his willingness to lend a helping hand to others will surely be missed by those who knew him. Many thanks for those who reached out with loving thoughts during this difficult time, especially Tommy Street, Jr., my employer, William Francis, Jr. and his son Skip Francis III for their help and emotional support and neighbors the Dewalts. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
