Thomas John "Jack" Kelly, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on December 28, 2012. He was born on September 21, 1937, in Bronx, NY. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas Eric and Jean Wright Kelly, his angel son who was to be named Mark Alexander, and his brother in law, Bernard Anklin.
He is survived by the love of his life, Isabella S. Anderson Kelly, his wife of 53 years; his "dolls", daughters, Kim (Patrick) Schmidt of Spencerport, NY, and Denise (Michael) Powers of Richmond, Va.; granddaughters, Katrina (Joseph) Ehmann and Kelly (Kris) Lincoln, of Hilton, NY, and Hannah, Tess, and Emma Powers of Richmond, Va.; great granddaughters, Kamille and Gemma Ehmann and Kallie Lincoln; sister, Arlene Kelly (Tom Brazill); sister in law, Elizabeth Anklin, nieces and nephews and his family in Scotland. He will also be missed by his wee puppies, Hershey, Lily, Spencer, Maddie, and Rosco.
He resided in Syracuse, NY, for many years where he worked for General Electric and the Hobart Corporation. He retired to Summerfield, Florida. Jack bestowed the gifts of his many intelligences upon all in his midst. Jack was a brilliant and devoted steward of the earth tending to his roses, geraniums, and bird feeders. He was a "Jack of All Trades" who delighted in having just the right tool and the expertise to make repairs for his dear friends. He will continue to bring laughter to us all as we reflect upon his wit and use his "Jackisms".
Bye, Doll, You will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
There will be no calling hours; however, a celebration of his life will be held in the Summer of 2013.
