Dr. Robert Neil Hazlett, 90, of Midlothian, VA passed away peacefully on February 1, 2015.
Neil Hazlett was beloved by family and many personal and professional friends. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and served in France and Germany. Dr. Hazlett was born and raised in Sterling, KS and graduated from Sterling College with a BS in Chemistry and The University of Kansas with a PhD in Chemistry. He worked for 35 years at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C where he contributed on many exciting projects for the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, his daughter Heather and her significant other Dan Eggleston, his son Doug, his daughter-in-law Mary and grand-daughter Kathleen. A Celebration of Life will be held at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113 at 2:00 pm Saturday February 14, 2015.
