Justin Richard Mohn, 24, of Midlothian, departed this life on Friday, August 2, 2013 into the loving arms of his Savior. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hilda C. Dintiman and uncle, G. Brian Dintiman. He is survived by his mother, Lynne R. Dintiman Mohn; father, Richard S. Mohn; maternal grandfather, George B. Dintiman; paternal grandmother, Mary A. Ginder; aunt, Brenda J. Dintiman; uncle, Edward J. Shanahan; cousins, Christine M. and Teddy J. Shanahan and relatives in Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico. Justin attended Richard Bland College, earning Dean’s List honors, and was a computer associate at N.A.S.E., Inc. He was loved by many and will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and his love of family. His intelligence and witty humor showed in his love of poetry and gifted photography. In 2007, Justin was honored by the 2006-2008 Poet Laureate of Virginia for two of his poems in the Young Poets spotlight. He was the sparkle in his mother’s eye and the steady rhythm that beat within her heart, her treasure on earth. Despite growing up with chronic asthma and life-threatening allergies, he could always be seen with a smile on his face through any crises as he sought to comfort his mother and father lifting his family’s spirits. The family will receive friends 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Midlothian Baptist Church, 11840 Lucks Lane, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. A reception will follow the funeral at the church. Justin will be interred next to his Nana at Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
