John Steven Bradley, died March 2, 2022.
He was born February 14, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the fifth child of Harold and Jane Bradley. His loving family includes wife, Janice Bradley; daughter, Lisa Stnons and husband, Matt; son, Steven Bradley; grandchildren, Tyler Stnons and Hannah Stnons; all of Richmond; as well as ten siblings: Barbara Brandon and her husband, Herb; H. Robert Bradley, Jr.; Susan Farrell and her late husband, Joe; Richard Bradley and his wife, Pam; Virginia Bradley; the late James Bradley; David Bradley and his wife, Jan; Robin Doherty and her husband, Dean; Michael Bradley; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
John graduated from J.R. Tucker High School in Richmond, VA where he was a member of the track team and state championship winning cross country team. He would later marry his high school sweetheart on June 14, 1975. An avid sportsman, John enjoyed playing a variety of sports over the years including baseball, basketball, and tennis. He made many lifelong friends through his participation in church softball and volleyball leagues, and loved playing golf with friends, coworkers, and family. More recently, he relished the chance to watch his grandson Tyler’s soccer games as well as granddaughter Hannah’s theater productions.
The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, March 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd, Midlothian, VA, where services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 9, at 12:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Henrico.
