Doreen Smith, 79, of Richmond, VA passed away on January 28, 2016. Doreen is survived by two sisters, Joan Empson of Louisville, KY and Janet Reeves of Brooksville, FL, seventeen nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and grand nephews. Miss Smith was born in Maricaibo, Venezuela, living in Westfield, NJ, Rancho Santa Marguerita, CA before moving to the Richmond area. She was a devoted sister and aunt who will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at a celebration of life on March 12 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Midlothian, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.
