She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Joseph Ward.
She is survived by her six sons, Sam of Richmond, VA, Kurt (Diane) of Whitehall, MT, Dana (Martha) of Orlando, FL, Jim, Bob (Tracy), Glenn (Anita), all of Richmond, VA; and was “Gram” to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Raising six boys, she quickly became “mom” to all of their friends growing up in Savannah, Atlanta and Richmond.
She was an active member of Salisbury Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm on Monday, September, 12 at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, September 13 at Salisbury Presbyterian Church.
Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
