Sylvia Cummins

Sylvia was born in Hazel Run Minnesota on October 5, 1918 to Sena and Jens Jensen. She graduated from Hazel Run High School. Sylvia was married to Harrold Cummins on January 2, 1948 and they were married for 33 years.

Sylvia was a homemaker and sales clerk for a large department store for several years. She enjoyed sewing and family and friends. Sylvia was an active member in West Kentucky Baptist Church of Midland, Texas.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cummins, and son, Kenneth Cummins.

Sylvia is survived by; her son and daughter in law Harold and Charlsye Cummins; son and daughter in law Patrick and Traci Cummins and daughter Peggy Sadler. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Robert Hambright, Elliott Sadler, Quinnah Varela, Kathryn Prince, Aaron Cummins, Alex Cummins, and Colton Lanier and her great grandchildren Palmer Prince and Elijiah Varela.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice of East Texas, 911 E Loop 281, Longview, TX 75605.
