Jimmie Shannon Hunt of Midland, Texas passed away at the age of 57 on Friday, November 17th, 2023. Shannon was born January 12, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. His parents were the late Jimmie and Jackie Hunt of Brownfield, Texas.
Shannon grew up in Brownfield, TX. He attended and graduated from the Fellowship Christian Academy. Shannon married his wife Shelly on July 16, 1988. They moved to Midland in 1992 where he worked most of his life in the oil field. He was currently employed by Downhole Chemical Solutions (DCS) where he was Director of Facilities. Prior to, Shannon held many different roles for Cudd Energy Services for 14 years. His favorite pastime was playing with his grandson Jaxon. He also enjoyed playing golf, watching college and high school football, spending time with his family, (especially his two boys), boating on the lake and was an avid supporter of his beloved Texas Longhorns.
Shannon is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shelly Hunt of Midland; His sons Zachary (wife Kaitlyn) Hunt of Midland and Dustin (wife Sloane) Hunt of San Angelo; His grandson Jaxon Hunt; His sisters, Shawnda (Rick) Jany; Debbie (Steve) Hopper; Linda (Steve) Letz, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Shannon was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Jackie Hunt.
Family and Friends Visitation will be held Sunday, November 26th from 2:00-4:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Midland.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, November 27th at 10:00 AM at Stonegate Fellowship of Midland. Burial will follow at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Midland.
