Ethel Ann Griffin Williams was born on June 25, 1939 in Newberry, South Carolina. As an infant her family moved to California where she grew up. At a young age she served and sang for the Lord at a private Seven Day Adventist School where she graduated from.
Ethel was united in marriage to George B. Williams on October 3, 1957. From this union five children were born.
She served as First Lady of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Midland, Texas where her husband was Pastor until his death in.
She traveled with the love of her life singing and spreading the love of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a lifetime PTA member. Other organizations include a member of Eastern Star, member of the Southeast Senior Center, member of the Permian Basin Interdenominational Ministers' Wives and Widows Alliance, as well as other organizations.
Ethel was preceded in death by the love of her life Rev. Dr. George B. Williams, as well as other relatives.
Carrying on her legacy are her children, honorary daughter Jocelyn Jackson of Houston, Texas; George E. Williams(Carolyn), Cedar Hill, Texas, Malshun G. Williams, Midland, Texas, Janail R. Williams, Midland, Texas, Kevin L. Williams (Becky), Las Vegas, Nevada, Lady Ethel G. Williams, Midland, Texas. Seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 201 S Carver St. Funeral services will begin at 10 AM followed by interment at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6800 TX-349.
