Dorthey Ann Rogers

Dorthey Walker Rogers, 76, formerly of Midland, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 in Bartlesville, OK. She was born on January 21, 1948 in Midland to the late Lillie Mae (Godwin) and Floyd Daniel Walker.

Dorthey graduated from Midland High School and later went on to work and retire as an Administrative Secretary for Bopco, L.P.

She met the love of her life, Tat Thomas Rogers, Jr. and they were married in 1965.

She enjoyed sewing and cooking. Dorthey cherished her grandchildren and reading the bible. She will always be remembered for putting others ahead of herself and always looking out for their well being.

Dorthey is survived by her sons, Kelly Rogers and wife Teresa and Kendal Rogers and wife Erin; brother, Claudie Walker; sister, Lorene Woodruff and husband J.B.; brothers-in-law, Charles Rogers and Jimmy Rogers; sisters-in-law, Ginger O'Connor and husband Kevin and Cindy Rogers Fitzgerald and husband Joe; and grandchildren, Kelsie Rogers, Kendal Rogers and wife Katelyn, Kolton Rogers and Hayden Rogers. She is also survived by her loving niece Belinda, as well as many loving cousins, nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tat Rogers, Jr.; parents, Floyd and Lillie Walker; and siblings, Ogle Walker, Maurine Mallonee, O.B. Walker, Billy Walker, Milford Walker and Shirley Drew.

A memorial service for Dorthey will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Ellis Funeral Home, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland.
