Dorothy Faye Gallagher, age 89, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 in Jasper, Alabama. She was born to Thomas and Vera Morrow on February 9, 1930 in Birdville, Tx. Dorothy married J. B. Gallagher on February 9, 1948 and together, they had 5 children.
A long time resident of Midland, Tx., she worked as a bookkeeper and homemaker. She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church.
Dorothy is survived by sons: John Gallagher and wife Beverly of Jasper, Ala.; Brent Gallagher and wife Susan of Midland, Tx. Grandchildren: Michael Gallagher, Josh Gallagher, Isaac Gallagher, Matthew Gallagher, Amee Bankston & Rainy Hoeft. Three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Gallagher; daughters Tonja Matthis and Theresa Fine; son, Bernie Gallagher; and grandson Luke Gallagher.
Family visitation will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 30th at Ellis Funeral Chapel, Midland Tx., followed by services at 2:00 PM, with Martin Caddell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, North.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
