Catalina Ramos Loera, age 90, of Midland, Texas passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. Catalina was born in El Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus Loera & Filomena Lares Ramos. Miss Catalina moved to Midland 1957. She loved visiting cathedrals and traveling. She worked for Kriest Cleaners and Levi Strauss for many years here in Midland. In April 2010 she received a Certificate of Appreciation for volunteering in the Foster Grandparent Program. Miss Catalina, prided herself in keeping everything dear to her heart. She enjoyed taking pictures of many things, the snow, flowers and churches. As a devoted catholic, she recited her rosary daily, visited her loved ones at the cemetery weekly and kept all the flowers watered. Catalina is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Delia Loera, Florentina García, Trinidad Hernandez, and brother’s Gregorio Loera, & Octavio Loera, a nephew Jesus Hernandez and niece Dora Loera Ball. She is survived by her youngest sister Socorro Vargas. She was an aunt to several nieces & nephews. A special thanks to the staff at Ashton Medical Lodge and Hospice of Midland and her neighbors.
Pallbearers will be nephew William Hernandez, & Great nephews, Jose & Justin Primera, Mario Quintela Jr. Great grand nephew, Seth Primera and Jayde Suchil. Honorary Pallbearers, Antonio Hernandez and Travis Hernandez.
The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Ellis Funeral Home, 4616 N Big Spring St. The Rosary will be recited at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 18, 2023 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery.
