Buford Ray McDonald

Buford Ray McDonald, 83, of Midland passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was born on January 20, 1929 in Ranger, Texas to David Lee McDonald and Mattie Jane Yountz. He married Marie Harrison in 1950. They were married until her death in 1994. On January 14, 1995 he married Mary E. Duggan. He worked as a barber and owned a vet retirement home on South Main.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Marie Harrison; a son, Buford Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Lee McDonald, grandson, Billy Ray; granddaughter, Kelly and five sisters.

Those left behind to honor and cherish his memory is his wife, Mary E. Duggan; one brother, David McDonald of Odessa, Texas; sister, Peggy Stone of Graham, Texas; step-son, Mike Reed and wife Dottie; step-daughter, Sherry Priddy and husband Ronny. He also leaves behind five step-grandchildren, seven step- great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2013 between the hours of 6:00-8:00pm at Ellis Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2:00pm at Resthaven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be offered at www.ellisfunerals.com.
