Brois Gene Worley, 86, of Midland, was called home by our Lord and Savior on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at her home in Bangs, TX. She was born September 5, 1937 in Tomball to the late Mildred and Charles Robinson.
Brois grew up in Tomball with her parents, four siblings, near many cousins and grandparents. The family moved to Albany when she was 12 years old, where she was a member of the track team, the volleyball team and also sang in the acapella choir. She graduated from Albany High School.
She later married and had two sons, Fred Coston and Coy Coston. The family then moved to Midland where Brois lived happily for over sixty years. During her time in Midland, she worked for more than twenty years in secretarial and bookkeeping positions in banks and the oil/gas industry. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and was a very spiritual woman. Brois loved to read spiritual books and study God’s Word, always wanting to be closer to Him and serve others when possible.
She later married Larry Worley, the love of her life, in 1986. He introduced her to his favorite pastime, riding motorcycles, and it soon became hers as well. They traveled coast to coast, riding side-by-side, making many beautiful, lifelong memories with one another. Some of Brois’ closest friends were ones she met while riding motorcycles over the years. She was very outgoing and was always willing to make conversation with anyone she happened to encounter, often becoming friends with those who shared the same spiritual values and interests. Brois never met a stranger and left an impression on everyone’s hearts.
Brois is preceded by her parents, Mildred and Charles Robinson, brother Rodney Robinson, sister Janice Holcomb and husband Larry Worley as well as one grandchild. She is survived by son Fred Coston and wife Felicia, son Coy Coston, sister Fredene Hasty and brother Dwight Robinson. She is also survived by five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
One of her favorite sayings was “Life is what happens while we’re busy making other plans...”
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 10:00am at Resthaven Memorial Park located at 4616 N. Big Spring St. Midland.
