Bobby Leon "Bob" Emerson

Bob was born on October, 27, 1927 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma to Uyless Millard Emerson and Mabel Fern Windsor Emerson. He graduated from Foster High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1945. Bob and LaVerne Emerson were married in 1949. They moved to Midland, Texas in 1967. He worked for Cities Service Oil Co. from 1948 to 1983. With Cities Service he held an international responsibility, in Rotterdam, Holland from 1976 to 1978. His favorite past-time was playing golf. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, Brian and Elsa, who have always held a special place in his heart. Additionally, Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy. Also, he was a longtime member of the Midland Lutheran Church.

Preceding Bob in death are his father and mother, Uyless Millard Emerson and Mabel Fern Windsor Emerson.

Left to cherish and honor his memory is his loving wife, LaVerne Emerson; his son, Scott Emerson, and wife, Yvonne; his daughter, Jana Ragan, and husband, Max; his brother Ace Emerson and wife, Cosette; his sister, Wanda Key; his beloved grandchildren, Brian Ragan and Elsa Emerson; and extended family members, Chanita Macklin and Jackie Gentry.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Ellis Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00am.
