Marion Stewart Barnes, age 94, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born January 10, 1930 in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of William E. and Mary O. (McFarland) Barnes.
Marion retired in 1986 from General Motors where he worked as an electrician. He was a member of Stratford Heights Church of God. Marion loved to read the Bible.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loraine Barnes; son, Stephen Barnes; daughter, Karen Purdum; granddaughter, Stephanie Barnes.
He is survived by his son, Keith Barnes; six grandchildren, Holly, Adam, Mandy, Sara, Aaron, and Jacob; 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of kind words, prayers, and sharing of their memories as he was well known and loved by many.
Visitation will be 10 am-11 am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Stratford Heights Church of God, 4419 Nelson Road, Middletown, OH 45042. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 am with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
