James Christopher Jones, “Chris”, of Springboro, OH died on April 14, 2021. He was born to James & Ruby Jones as the youngest of four children in Middletown, OH. Chris graduated from Middletown High School then attended Harding University in Sircy, Arkansas, where he met his surviving wife, Wendy Jones. Graduating with a degree in Social Work in 1981, Chris went on to earn his master’s in education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and led a meaningful career.
Chris served as an administer for several local nursing homes where he was instrumental in responding to the corona virus pandemic, following an impactful career at Mid-Midwestern Children’s Home. He also served on the board of Directors for Fort Hill Christian Youth Camp and Willow Brook Christian Communities. His life found purpose in service to others and his absence will be felt by many. Survivors include his best friend and spouse, Wendy Jones, three children Kim (Kerry), Ben (Katherine), and Seth, and nine grandchildren.
In his memory, his family requests that you take time to consider the lasting impacts your actions make on those around you. As his name is James and he left this life on 04-14, it is apropos to quote James 4:14, “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” Chris was a servant, and he will be remembered as such in this life and rewarded as such in the next.
