PAVELLA, MAUREEN T. (nee Connare), age 73. Beloved wife of 50 years to Michael. Loving mother of Brian and Brad (Christina). Cherished grandmother of Penny, Brady, Sophia, Carson and Owen. Dearest daughter of the late Harold and Helen (nee Steigerwald) Connare. Dear sister of Patricia Lorenzo (Ed Doty), Kathleen, Andrews, Cecilia Carpenter (Tim, deceased) and Joseph Connare (Julie). Adored sister-in-law of Barbara Small (Curt). Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
As a devoted Eucharistic minister, Maureen served with deep reverence and found great peace in her faith, especially through her devotion to the Blessed Mother and St. Thérèse. She brought communion and comfort to nursing home residents, offering gentle presence and prayer. Her compassion extended to her work with children/adults with developmental disabilities, where her patience and love touched countless lives. Later, as a hospice volunteer, she continued to care for others at their most vulnerable, providing comfort and companionship in their final moments.
But above all, her greatest devotion was to her family. To her, family was everything—her constant source of pride, strength, and joy. Even through simple everyday moments her love was unconditional. She was the center of her family’s world, and her presence will be missed beyond words.
Maureen was the kind of person the world needs. Her kindness, compassion, inner and outer beauty, loyalty, belief in others, and determination are exactly what we should all aspire to emulate and share.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Alzheimer Association of Cleveland, 3 Summit Park Dr #550, Independence, OH 44131.
