George T. Javorek, 77, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on March 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 15, 1948, to John and Lillian (Abella) Javorek, George lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and adventure.
For 38 years, George worked as a machinist at Pipeline Development Company, where his skill and precision were well respected. Outside of work, he found joy in many pursuits—most notably bowling, music, motorcycles, and classic cars. A devoted bowler, he achieved the rare and coveted 300 game and amassed an impressive collection of bowling balls over the years. His love for music led him to not only play guitar but to craft his own instruments and record six CDs of his music.
Later in life, George embraced his love of motorcycles, purchasing one when he and his beloved wife, Bernie (Bernadine Niemiec), became empty nesters. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, often riding to Marblehead, a place he held dear. Their shared love of classic cars took them to numerous car cruises, and George always dreamed of owning a hot rod.
Though he initially resisted having dogs, George’s heart was quickly won over by his furry companions—Boo-boo, Buddy, Rambo, and Rascal—who never went without an extra treat from him.
Above all, George cherished his family. He found immense joy in his granddaughters, Brinley and Emerson, and was especially thrilled that they shared his love of music. Watching them explore their musical interests brought him great happiness, and he delighted in passing down his passion to a new generation.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Bernie; his daughter, Christina, and son-in-law, Jared; his brother, John (Renee); and his sister-in-law, Diane (Jerry). Proud uncle to Donna Bonvisuto and Michael Gebura. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Marianne Gebura, Henry, Jerry, David, and Joseph.
George’s kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family and passions will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the music he created, the adventures he embraced, and the many lives he touched.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at the A. RIPEPI AND SONS FUNERAL HOME 18149 BAGLEY RD., MIDDLEBURG HTS. (WEST OF I-71) where a closing service will begin at 7:00pm. Private Interment.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of Western Reserve in George’s memory.
Rest easy, George—may your road ahead be smooth, your music eternal, and your spirit forever free.
