I will never forget how Aunt Sally and my grandma were not only sisters but THE BEST of friends. Grandma Kitty would get so excited the minute Aunt Sally arrived in her driveway! Whether she was passing through or there for a longer visit, you knew it was going to be a house full of laughter (the contagious kind). Although I was a kid and I rarely knew what anyone was laughing about, I was laughing too!

 Aunt Sally was so pretty, she had a light around her that felt free and gentle. My favorite times were when I got shopping wherever the women wanted to go. We typically took trips to Boscovs or JcPenny. I will never forget the moment my mom (Cathy), Aunt Sally and Grandma were trying to have a conversation without me knowing what was being said. (They liked to speak their own variation of pig Latin so the kids didn’t know what was going on)Until I did! They were chatting up a storm, I looked at them and said “I know what you’re saying” they laughed and said “no you don’t”. I smiled and responded back in their very own little secret language that wasn’t very secret anymore! If you could see the look on their faces.

I always loved when Aunt Sally came to visit I never wanted her to go home.  I loved when me mom an Aunt Sally would go shopping at Boscovs she loved shopping at Boscovs .  She would start at the basement an work her way up to the fourth floor. I'll  never forget her she was my favorite aunt ❤️ ♥️

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I spoke with her on her 90th birthday and i will always remember that conversation as being warm, sincere and caring. To her children i want you all to know you have our sincere and deepest sympathy. How fortunate you all were to have had her for such a long time. She is now at peace and with the rest of the clan. My Aunt and my mother adored each other and loved to do things together.  If you didn’t have fun when you were with the two of them , you didn’t know how to have fun.
The two liked dining out and trying restaurants they had  never been to. However they also liked to have something to remember the place by.  The two had quite a collection of menus, glasses, and silverware as reminders of their fun times together. 
My Aunt really missed her sister after her passing and thought and spoke of her often. I can only hope that they are now reunited with my Uncle and laughing about the good times.

My most sincere condolences to all of you. 
My Aunt Sally was a very wonderful woman .  She was kind, compassionate, caring, and so sweet. We always joked that I was her favorite son.  We did that only when Pat was around. 
My Aunt and Uncle were the two most giving people I have ever known. They gave of themselves without reservation. 
For as long as I can remember my Aunt and Uncle helped any one who needed help. 
Many years ago they took me in to live with them and my cousins so I could attend college.  My Aunt took care of me as if I was her own.  It had to be a strain on their budget, but you wouldn’t know it from the attention they paid me. 
Later in life my mother became ill. My Aunt was right there to help. She came from Florida to be with my sisters and me when my mother was operated on and she stayed with my mother when she came home. She did everything for my mother and I’m so appreciative for her. I could never repay her for her help. She was a blessing to us.
When my mother got better she wanted desperately to go to Florida again to spend time with my Aunt. The two of them always had such fun together. They seemed to know what the other was thinking.  While my mother was visiting my Aunt my wife and I traveled to Florida.
We met the two ladies to go out for dinner. While driving the two women sat in the back seat and laughed non stop, but they hardly said a word to one another. My wife and I were laughing because they were laughing so much.  We finally asked what was so funny and they told us they were laughing about past exploits. We were puzzled and said “but you two weren’t saying much about anything “ to which they laughed and replied we don’t have to we know what the other is thinking.
I must tell you too that my wife and I went to Disney with the two of them and they completely exhausted us. We could not keep up to them . 
It is with great sadness that I can’t be there with you to pay my respects to you. I can never repay my Aunt’s love.

Aunt Sally I will always love you and remember you! I will cherish the laughter and memories especially the ones I  have as a young girl and our special talk! Thank you and Uncle Jerry for always being  there for my mom!  No matter where you lived we always waited for the Christmas “Box” of gifts and homemade candy to arrive! May you have a glorious reunion with all of your loved ones! ✝️❤️

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Gerald Thomas Kane. Her parents Salvatore and Grace Berretta. Sally is survived by three sons: Patrick G. (Nancy) Kane, Michael (Julie) Kane, and William (Robin) Kane. Daughter, Gerri-Lynn (Kenneth) Kane. 12 Grandchildren,: Rebecca, Valerie, Kevin, Erin, Whitney, Melanie, Michelle, Marian, Luke, Bryan, Taylor and Alysia. 13 Great-Grandchildren: Lauran, Reagen, Weylin, Kian, Ronin, Arianna, Trista, Keelan, LillyAnn, Tomas, Kaydence, Isabella and Willow. 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Elijah, Anthony, Evelynn and Wyatt.
