Robert Owen Melson

Robert Owen Melson, age 82, of Orange Park, Florida passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Leslie O. and Viola (Wise) Melson. Mr. Melson retired after serving his country proudly in the US Navy as a Chief Hospital Corpsman and then continuing his second career as a Civil Servant for Disease Vector and Ecology Control Center.

Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Suzanne (Lozeau) Melson. He is survived by his son, Jeff (Sue) Melson; daughters: Jennifer Melson (Jerry) Veith and Karen Melson (Steve) Dowell; 7 grandchildren: Andy Burgess, Joshua Melson, Hailey (Corey) Robertson, Anthony (Alexandra) DiPietro, Joseph DiPietro, Alicia DiPietro and Cora DiPietro; 2 great-grandchildren: Alistair Robertson and Charlotte DiPietro-Velazquez; and a host of extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends 10-11 AM Monday January 15, 2024 at Hardage - Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL.
