Michael Holtzman, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 63 in Middleburg, Florida. Born on August 12, 1961, in Staten Island, New York, Michael lived a life marked by dedication and love for his family and country.
At the young age of 17, Michael joined the United States Navy, serving with distinction in the Submarine Service during the Cold War. His commitment to his nation was a testament to his character and courage. After his military service, Michael pursued his entrepreneurial spirit by establishing his own tile company. However, it was his later career as a bus driver for professional athletes and celebrities in Tampa, Florida, that fulfilled his lifelong dream.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Lynn, and his devoted mother, Adele Haberman. He leaves behind a legacy through his children: Christopher Holtzman (Holly), Jessica Costa (Randy), Donald Holtzman, Nicholas Pound (Dalal), and Michael Pound (Jacob). Known affectionately as "Poppi," he was a proud grandfather to Laila, Gabe, Dean, Rory, Noah, Joseph, Elias, and Harper. Michael is also survived by his five sisters: Lynda (Michael) Vizzone, Adele Marie (Brian) Beil, Donna Marie (Claudio) Matos, Jeanne Anne (Rick) Davis and Elisa Michelle (Scott) Wagner; and his aunts, Theresa and Genevieve, who was also his Godmother; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his uncles George, Michael, and Charles, who was his Godfather, as well as his aunts MaryLou and Judith. Michael's life was a tapestry of service, family, and fulfillment, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
His memory will be cherished by his family and friends, who will remember him for his warmth, dedication, and the joy he brought into their lives.
