A Memorial service will be held at Ridgewood Baptist Church, Orange Park Florida on June 27, 2014 at 2pm. With Pastor Michael Clifford officiating.
Gail was born in Tampa Florida to Thelma Louise and Jack Pleasant Haley on July 27, 1938. He attended Hillsborough High School and University of Tampa. He served 2 years in the Navy and returned home to Tampa to find the love of his life, Wanda Joan Prevatt. They were married July 1, 1960.
They were blessed with a beautiful family: One daughter, Lori Janylle Meredith and 2 sons, Kent Lee Haley (Suzanne) and Scott Cameron Haley.
He was PawPaw to one Grandson: Justin Lee Haley (Dannielle) and 6 beautiful granddaughters: Kimberly Elizabeth Haley, Brittany Michele Lackey (Justin), Jessica Marie Meredith (Kevin), Macy Paula Haley, Kelsey Morgan Meredith, and Reagan Audrey Haley.
One Great Granddaughter: Bentley Michelle Lackey and 3 great grandsons: Brayden Haley, Lucas Nathaniel Haley and Tyler Wayne Lee Lackey.
Besides his own beautiful family, he is survived by his brother, Ronald P. Haley and his wonderful wife, Kathleen Mary and their loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and Wanda’s parents.
With a successful career as a respected member of the investment community, Gail’s final position was Vice President of Raymond James and Associates, Jacksonville Florida.
Gail was devoted to his own family and his family of close friends. He was dedicated to his clients whom he also considered family. Gail was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be missed.
He was an adventurous soul loving hunting, fishing, golf, and hiking; from the beautiful Rockies to the Centennial Valley. He loved the tranquil beauty of the many lakes of Idaho and Montana. And then there was football; A Seminole to the end!
Gail was a Proud American. He loved God, his Family and his Country!
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ridgewood Baptist Church, Orange Park Florida or Wounded Warrior Project.
