Linda Frances Plantz Swanson

SWANSON, Linda Frances, age 71 of Miamisburg, passed away January 28, 2014 at Sycamore Hospital. She was born December 29, 1942 in Point Pleasant, WV to her late father, Jesse Allen Plantz Sr. (1985) and her mother, Frances Luella (Bush) Plantz of Gallipolis. In addition to her father, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Swanson in 2007; a daughter, Linda Ann Puls in 2005 and brothers, Benjamin Plantz and Jesse Plantz Jr. Linda is survived by her children, James Franklin (Angel) Swanson, Patricia L. (Danny) Grushon and Robert E. Swanson, all of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Michelle (caregiver), Eddie, David and Heather; great grandson, Eli Ray; siblings, Barbara Moser of WV, William Plantz of SC, Anna Mae (Jimmy) Combs of WV and Robert Plantz of Gallipolis, as well as many other extended family and friends. Linda graduated high school with honors and went on to work hard the majority of her life. She was employed as a housekeeping manager for 20 years with NCR and later retired from Goodwill Industries as the night supervisor for the Centerville store. Linda was a member of First Baptist Church, Miamisburg, was a natural caregiver and generous giver. She enjoyed researching the history of JFK, being a huge Elvis fan and caring for her son Bobby. Services will be private at the convenience of the family at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg and officiated by Pastor Stephen Spurgin. Burial will take place at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley at 1511 Kuntz Rd., Dayton, OH 45404.
