Linda Gayle Caldwell

She was born on October 7, 1941 in Spartanburg, South Carolina daughter of the late Woodrow Merrill and Zora Belle (Dixon) Bright.

Gayle was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bobby G. Caldwell; and her brother, James A. Bright.

She is survived by her son, Philip D. Caldwell; daughter, Michele R. (Jeff) Lay; grandchildren, Jason M. (Katie) Lay and Kristen M. Lay; great grandson, Jackson M. Lay; sister, Joy (Gerald) Bagwell; brother, Michael (Joanna) Bright; sister-in-law, Sara (Huber) Bright, Maxine (Caldwell) Combs; brother-in-law, James David Caldwell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gayle was a 1959 graduate of Miamisburg High School. She retired from the City of Miamisburg in 2000 after working 30 years in the finance department as the book keeper. Gayle was a member of the Nazarene Church and enjoyed her church family. She enjoyed sewing and took a lot of pride in her yard. Gayle won several Miamisburg City Beautiful awards. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 AM – 1 PM. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
