Betty Roberson

She was born on November 5, 1927 in Fort Recovery, Ohio, the daughter of Ferd and Ida (Rose) Brockman.

Betty was a 1945 graduate of Miamisburg High School. She was a charter member of the sorority Sigma Beta, and eventually became the sorority’s first president. She worked many office jobs prior to starting her family. Later in life she was the cafeteria supervisor for Miamisburg City Schools. Betty loved Bingo and was known for her wonderful pies.

She is survived by her children; Jim (Pam) Roberson, Kathy (Phil) Hayes, and Karen Riddle (Doug Parramore); grandchildren; Jimmy (Jamie) Roberson, Megan (Joe) Kronauge, Blake (Jenna) Hayes, Nathan Hayes (Shelby), Caitlin (Brett) Rygelski, Collin Riddle; great grandchildren, Jayne, James IV, Adelynn, and Levi; sister, Rita Micklos; sisters-in-law, Ruth Beuter and Nancy Brockman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Roberson; infant children, Amy and Anthony Roberson; siblings, Shirley Astor and Bill Brockman.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30-10:15 AM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Our Lady of Good Hope Parish Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM with Father Jim Manning celebrant. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Good Hope Cemetery. Services are entrusted to GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg.
