Oswald K. Young

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Oswald K. Young, who left us peacefully on November 9, 2024, at the age of 88, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Oswald was born on December 13, 1935, in Jamaica, a country he loved deeply, and spent much of his life enriching the lives of those around him with his warmth, wisdom, and generosity.

Oswald was a man of great character and integrity, known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his work. He immigrated to the United States with a dream of creating a better life, and his hard work and determination became an inspiration to many.

He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Oswald’s love for his family was boundless. His kindness, patience, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Oswald is survived by his beloved children, Robert and Ricaldo; his grandchildren, Dianne, Christopher, Michelle, Timothy and Nicholas; daughters in law, Carol and Samantha; his great grandchildren, Anya, Annalise and Crystal; and a host of extended family and friends.

A service will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South at 10:00 AM on November 18, 2024, followed by a brief period of visitation until 10:30 AM. The procession will depart the funeral home at 10:45 AM, proceeding to the cemetery for the committal service at 11:00 AM.
