Irving Isicoff—was born in Newark, New Jersey on August 25, 1929 and passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, surrounded by his caregivers and loved ones in Ocala, Florida. He was the son of a rag and junk dealer and was taught the business at an early age, working on a horse and wagon on the streets of New Jersey. Ultimately, Irving landed in Miami in the early 1950’s and was a pioneer in the scrap metal business in South Florida. Irving was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Japan, scrap metal dealer, hotelier, gambler, real estate investor, developer, antique safe and scale collector and much more.
