Dear Sharon, I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was truly a unique person. Always laughing, always caring. 
But most of all, he was my Dad's best friend.

My dad told me I met Mr. Steve when I was 2, which was almost 30 years ago.  Although I never personally knew Mr. Steve...I feel like I did I know him a little through the stories my gramps, Sal Salone, used to tell.  He loved Mr. Steve and I could tell Mr. Steve was a good man and faithful friend.  I am sorry for your loss....but I know he is hanging out with my gramps again in heaven.  They are probably laughing and swapping stories right now as I am writing this :). Sending you and yours many hugs!

May you rest in peace Uncle Steve. I still run into strangers whose lives you have touched in some way. A busy, charismatic and charming man indeed. May we all meet again someday.

Too the Hat it was a pleasure no it was a honor to have know a man and to have made a friend such as yourself. You will be truly missed by many..God Bless your family.

Uncle Steve was one of the Greatest men I have ever known. My life was saved by him many times. He taught me every thing I know about the business world. I became an alumnus of F.M.U. (French Market University) His Alma Mater. LOL!   Because of him I became a  successful businessman. I also learned to enjoy the simple things in life from him like being with friends and family, laughing, loving and just being who you are. Thanks Uncle Steve I will never forget you. The Hat was a legend. The mayor of Broad St.. The governor of Venetian Isles. He would often tell those around him,
"you worry to much." His legacy is "life is short. Have fun".
And he knew how to and did.

I will never forget how much The Hat made everyone he met smile and laugh.  He was such a wonderful man and such wonderful character.  I will never forget how he touched so many lives in only the five years that I had known him.  I know he will rest in peace!

So sorry to hear of Mr. Steve's passing. He was such a dear friend of my Dad (Herbie Higgins) . We always  enjoyed when he visited the store. So sorry for your loss.

To the Calcagno family, my deepest sympathies are with y'all. I loved visiting Mr. Steve at Broadview Seafood with my father, Sal Salone.. Mr. Steve always had a smile on his face and was so happy. He would always say "where  ya at Sal".. I will always have great memories of he and my father.. Rest assured the two of them are having a great time in heaven.
