Robert J. Kornfeld, Sr., age 91 years died Monday, August 23, 2010 in a Manhattan, NY hospital. Beloved husband of Celia Seiferth Kornfeld. Father of Robert Jonathan Kornfeld Jr, both of New York. Brother of John Kornfeld of Palm Desert, CA, Lewis Kornfeld of Ft. Worth, TX and the late Selice K. (Huber) Gordon. Son of the late Lewis and Lillian Kornfeld and son-in-law of the late Helen and Solis Seiferth. Also survived by twin grandsons, Henry and John Kornfeld.
Mr. Kornfeld was a prize-winning playwright and photographer. He produced plays internationally, as well as a number of plays at Southern Repertory Theatre in New Orleans.
Graveside services will take place on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Metairie Cemetery.
