RITA WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON,SHE ALWAYS HELPED PEOPLE IN NEED.  RITA HELPED MY SON THOMAS LEE OVERCOME DRUGS IN HIS LIFE.RITA HAS OFTEN ADVISED ME ON MEDICAL ISSUES AND OFTER JUST LIFE.  SHE WAS A WONDERFUL SOLE-MATE FOR MY SISTER DEBORAH AND TOOK CARE OF HER IN HER TIME OF NEED.I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER RITA MARIE AS A BIG SISTER WHO I COULD TURN TO IN MY TIME OF NEED.  YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSES RITA MARIE WILLIAMS, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN, YOU WILL BE IN MY PRAYERS FOREVER UNTIL WE ALL MEET AGAIN ONE DAY.        LOVE YOUR LITTLE BROTHER MITCHELL.

 I don't know how to best express my feelings about Rita.  We had so much fun together in the 80's it was crazy. Rita and Lee were my supervisors at DePaul and they coached me how to call in sick at work and it seem legitimate so that we could all go to Tipitina's for a concert.  We worked evening shifts at hospitals so we would go eat at Coop's in the Quarter after work then go to Charlene's for a drink. We had way fun.  There were Halloween parties at my house - I got to get those old pictures out. We were friends for almost 30 years. I loved Rita.  It didn't matter how long it had been between us seeing each other - we would start right from where we left off the time before.  I felt like Rita knew me, and we didn't have to discuss it.  I will always miss her terribly.  She was the best as a friend, she never judged me - and she always made me laugh.

Each night as you entered your bedroom you would peek in my room and say 
"nite nite, puppies".  Then you would look at me and say "I love you, Deborah".
You would wait for me to say "ditto".  That was our way of confirming that everything was right with the world.
I so wish I could whisper "ditto" a thousand times as I search for you in our home.  I miss you so much.

I was so sad to hear of Rita's passing.  My memories of her are from high school at Sacred Heart of Jesus.  I first remember her standing on the stage in the gym singing "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof.  She had a lovely voice and several of us sang together through high school. 
 
May your family know peace at this time of sorrow.

I still can't believe "lovely Rita" is no longer with us; especially so shortly after our dear Lee left us but the two great friends are together again without pain & suffering.  We go back a ways to crazy Mardi Gras days.  She was always so fun to be with & will truly be missed.

Deborah, So sorry that Rita had to go, but know that we all loved her, as we do you...we're always here for you and you know now that she's with her mom, Lee and Charlsie and in no pain. Love to you.

Reading the words so many others have written for Rita is a testament to her life.  She was a person of love, joy and care to others.  There is really nothing else one could ever hope for more than that.....that our life made a difference.  
I know you are so heart broken now, Deb, but I know the Healer of Hearts- every day He will be there with you and He has given you so many friends and our family- lean on them!  Rita's legacy will live on in those she cared for as a nurse and in her life.

Deborah, Jody and I were devastated to hear of Rita's death. As you know  Rita and I worked at the same agency for years. She was such an excellent role  model for so many of our clients. No one will ever know the positive difference Rita made in so many lives but I can tell you there were many. Although I had little contact with Rita since I retired, I will always remember her ready smile and her total commitment to her clients.Our thoughts are with you.

Rita, my girlfriend, you were always a joy sometimes an "Ole Toot", but you were nontheless a joy.  I thank God I had the privilage to know you.  You are family and will be truly missed. I was saddened to learn of Rita's passing.  We attended Sacred Heart High School together.  Have fond memories of our time at school and all the fun all the girls had.

I have so many wonderful memories of Rita with you, Charlsie and Dana. You only had to be in the same room with her to know the love she had for all of you. Rita had so much pride in Charlsie and Dana when they were growing up. She was a true mother to them! I know she was a tremendous support to you in raising them! Rita was always smiling and truly was enjoyable to chat with. May all the memories of years past bring comfort to you, in the days and weeks ahead as the heaviness in your heart eases. I regret that I did not get to see Rita one last time; but I do take comfort that she is no longer in pain. It must be a wonderful reunion in Heaven with her Mom & Charlsie!

whenever someone asks "why did you go into nursing?", i always refer to rita! i worked the switchboard at lakeside hospital, rita would come up front to the switchboard on her breaks..i was not really sure of my career path....rita said that she was applying to charity hospital school of nursing....and that she would get an application for me too.....she did, i applied and the rest as they say is "history"....i graduated from chsn in 1974....rita gave me my first encouragement with a huge smile on her face!! rest in peace. many condolences to her friends and family.

I meet Rita about 15 years ago and we clicked it was an instant bond thank god for me aunt Lee. Rita and I were very close she aways called me her husband and I loved her.Because of my wife Shara French and my aunt Lee Goldsby I was able to meet one of the dearest freands I will ever have give Lee a huge for me I LOVE YOU. What to say. Rita was one who was very special to me. We met through work and spent many good times together. I remember being her "handy man" at times. Rita had a need and I had a power tool for most occasions. There were lots of things to fix when you guys moved to the Belle Chase house! Libby and I shared the birth of our two children with you guys. The kids are now 17 and 14. I got to know you Deborah, Lee and a few other of her long term friends. NOAIDS bingo was another thing that we would do at times. I am grateful to have been a part of her life. What a blessing to have had Rita as a friend.

Deborah and family, I was shocked to hear about Rita. I was never around her when we were not laughing. I will miss not having that opportunity again. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

Everyday I would say, "I love you Rita".  And you would say "I love you more".  And I'd reply, "I know".

Deepest condolences to you all. Even though I haven't been in touch with you, I think about you all almost daily. I will never forget how much I looked-up to Rita when I wanted to become a nurse. I had to interview a nurse that I knew, and Rita gladly agreed. That was the first paper I wrote in nursing school. I have very fond memories of all of you, and will be thinking about you.

My aunt Lee is how our family came to know and love not only Rita, but Deborah, Charlsie, and Dana!  You all have become a part of our family and I am so sorry for your loss.  We love you Deborah and Dana and our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Rita, I love you and always will!!! you will always, always, always me my "OM". The boys will grow up hearing wonderful stories of you!
