Olive Shows Lincoln

Slidell, Louisiana – Ollie Shows Lincoln, age 91, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by love ones. She was a member of St. John of The Cross Catholic Church. Ollie was a native of New Orleans where she spent 85 years before moving with family to Lacombe.

She was a longtime member of Center of Jesus the Lord in New Orleans, Louisiana. She served many years at the Magnificat Retreat House in Robert, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwina J. and Norman A. Shows, Sr.; her brother, Norman A. Shows, Jr.; husband, Frederick L. Lincoln, Sr.; son, Frederick L. Lincoln, Jr; and granddaughter Kimberly A. Lincoln. She is survived by her sister-in-law Beverly Shows; her children, the late Frederick L. Lincoln Jr. (Trudy); Mary Ann Lincoln Mattern (late Steve); Joseph G. Lincoln (Cathy); Gerard S. Lincoln (Cynthia); grandchildren, Shelly Lincoln Loftin (Greg), Blake Lincoln, Lori Mattern Newton, Elizabeth Mattern Fairris (Cai), Jennifer Lincoln Holliday (Ryan), Justin Lincoln, David Lincoln, Melody Lincoln Mcjunkins (Elijah), Clayton Lincoln (Taylor), Caleb, Abby and Jay Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Ethan, Zach, Emily, Abby, Kade, Jillian, Layla, Trenton, Caila, Angel, Ashton, Clover, Cohen and Kiah.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., with Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Following the service, Ollie will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
