Michael David Roche

Michael David Roche went to heaven at the age of 45 on January 3, 2020. He was born on February 16, 1974 in New Orleans. He was a loving and devoted father who leaves behind his sons, Matthew Ryne, 13, and Logan Jeremy, 12, and his daughter Kendall York, 8, and his wife of 20 years, Alyssa Jain. He was preceded in death by his first born son Jeremy Michael. He is survived by his parents Drayton Lloyd ‘DL’ and Paula Duke and his sister Michele Chulick (Keith) and brother Jeffrey Christopher (Julie) and nephews Cody, Parker, Roman and nieces Maddison and Madysen and his Aunt Barbara Wright (Wade). Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents Dorothy and Clifford Roche and Leon and Ethel Duke.

Michael graduated Alpha Honors from Brother Martin High School. He was awarded an academic scholarship and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University. He continued his education at Tulane and graduated with a Doctorate Degree in Law. During his law practice, he was promoted to partner at two separate law firms before forming his own company.

Michael loved everything sports related. He was a volunteer coach for all 3 of his children in any sport they played including baseball, soccer, football and basketball. His favorite teams to watch were the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Cubs and his alma mater Tulane. He also enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. Michael was very outgoing and charismatic and brightened each room he entered. He enjoyed making people laugh and anyone who met him felt comfortable around him. His personality was larger than life. He leaves behind those who loved him dearly and he will be truly missed. Memorial services will be held by family and friends.
