Mary Mahomar Olin

Mary Mahomar Olin was called to her eternal home on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the age of 88 and is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Julio Olin and their children and spouses: Jose’ Olin, Ed and Robin Olin, Gina and Mark Radecker. Her cherished grandchildren and spouses include Claudia Olin, Jessica Olin and John Clark, Olivia Olin, Sarah Olin, Jennifer and Jerry Neil, Eric and Kelly Radecker, and Alyssa Radecker. Her cherished great-grandchildren are David Neil, Jax and Dakoda Roser, Wesley and Nathan Radecker. Mary was born in Olanchito, Honduras to Salvador and Leonor Mahomar; Mary’s siblings include her late brothers, Abraham and Fuad Mahomar, and her surviving siblings include Juliette Amaya, Odette Mahomar and Neyib Mahomar. She is also survived by her dear friends Claire Schuler and Gail Schafer who were like sisters to Mary here in her adoptive country. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, singing, dancing and being the center of attention. She has given us many cherished memories and she will be dearly missed. Mary was also a woman of great faith; she never turned down the chance to say her rosary and ask for the intercession of the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, St. Jude and Blessed Seelos. May they come to meet her and take her safely home to live in eternal bliss with the Blessed Trinity. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday morning December 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. After the visitation we will go in procession to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1908 Short Street in Kenner, LA where there will be a recitation of the Rosary at 11:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon.
