We are so sorry to hear about Lloyd.  He has been in my life since I was at St. Anthony, then at Sacred Heart and he stood in our wedding.  He was Ron's good friend and we both loved him dearly.  God bless the whole family and have peace and comfort knowing he is with the Lord.  We love you all.

So sorry to hear about Lloyd. He was a great guy, with a super sense of humor; he always saw the funny side of things. We lost a good one.

Mrs Irma and the Hoffmann Family:
I had a few opportunities to speak with Mr. Loyd. I feel Very Blessed to have those memories even though under a stressful situation.  After he fell and my youngest brother helped him back up I proceeded to give Mr. Loyd a little fussing about his decisions.
It was Very Difficult to be a little Stern with him looking at him with his Beautiful Eyes and almost a “Boyish Grin” on his face.
I explained how Blessed and Loved he was by his Beautiful Bride, Children and Grandchildren. Mr. Loyd looked right back at me as he Proudly Stated how many years he Shared His Life With His Wife...
As I was kneeling down speaking and Yes, fussing a little more I actually started grinning back at him. I could not help myself. I could tell Yes, He was Extremely Strong Willed but More Importantly A Happy Contented Man Who Loved and Enjoyed His Family. We saw each other a few times after when he was either coming or going from a Doctor Visit. We would wave to one another as I was so thrilled for both he and Mrs Irma were back Home...
 As Heartbroken As Each One Of You Who Loved Mr Loyd So Dearly My Prayer To Each Of You Is To Believe The Love Stays With You as an Invisible Cord and The Joy Will Be When You See One Another Again...

Irma, Karen, Cindy, Rebecca and Leslie:
I was so saddened to hear of Lloyd's passing. I have known Lloyd for 64+ years and at our last meeting, after being out of touch for a number of years, it was like no time had passed between us. 

He was the most charismatic person I have ever met. I never met anyone who did not like Lloyd, and he genuinely liked everyone, a rare trait.

I always enjoyed seeing lloyd and I will miss him. 

Alicia and I are saddened and will keep him and all of you in our prayers.

From our days on Palmyra Street and listening to LSU football- then to Metairie. Late at night we would have coffee and biscuits together. You are always a friend and mentor to me. 
May the wind be always at your back;  may the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

There was not one time I have been around Mr. Lloyd and not had a huge smile on my face or laughed at his funny jokes. I think one of my favorite memories was when my family and Mr. Lloyd and Mrs. Irma were eating dinner at Chateau and Mr. Lloyd and I walked up to the buffet and he couldn’t wait to get his hands on the rolls. After the rolls were on his plate, he tripped on something and the rolls went rolling across the dining room floor. He didn’t take his eyes off of them the whole time saying “look at my rolls!” We even laughed about this a couple of weekends ago. Of course Mrs. Irma told him “be careful Lloyd” before we left the table! You will be greatly missed Mr. Lloyd by myself and the Grosz family, especially the smiles you put on my dads face. Well Lloyd, our friendship started around 1945 at St. Anthony of Padua on Canal St.  Although we went to different high schools, we remained close friends and wound up together at LSUNO. I will never forget the good times we had during our teenage years, although many people may not have appreciated our humor. I will never forget the rounds of golf and the vacations we enjoyed together. I know I will see you again in the not too distant future. Marilyn and I will love the Hoffmann family forever. I will pray for Mr.Lloyd and his family, He was a great person and so kind, it was an honor  being one of his nurses.

Uncle Lloyd and the Hoffmanns are the BEST! My 2nd family. From coloring Leslie's bedroom walls as a youngster, to our dads standing on the parade route overnight for us, Saturday night Tigervision at their house to watch LSU games, Pensacola trips sharing a condo, holidays on Dreyfous and the best was Uncle Lloyd dressing up as Santa EVERY year stumbling in with his lopsided beard and bag of goodies...the memories are endless. As a woman, I looked forward to seeing him for his pearls of wisdom, laughter, and genuine care for me- He always asked how I was feeling, how was work going, etc. 
The slow swagger dance he had, his laugh, how he bent his ear forward to hear you, his cologne he wore, "squirrels..I mean girls", 'Muttin Pie', crabs pinching us in the Gulf and the way he told jokes will stay etched in my mind and memory forever. Much love to my Nanny  and my 'sisters from another mister'. I am blessed to call Lloyd that 'mister' :)  
 I look forward to the day I see you & get the tightest squeeze of a hug in heaven Uncle Lloyd! Until then, we got all your girls taken care of-  Love you xoxo

My Hoffmann family...love and prayers to all. Growing up, Lloyd and Irma were my rocks, my other family. Mr. Lloyd brought so much love and laughter to my younger years. Will always appreciate the fact that he and Irma made me feel like I had a second set of parents.  Memories of Dreyfous are the best. Prayers my loves. 

Irma and family, My deepest condolences on the passing of Lloyd. He was always fun to be around and how we all had great times together during St Anthony functions. I bet he has Carolyn laughing there in Heaven with his usual funny ways. You all will be in my prayers.

Lloyd was someone I looked up to very much. He always had a great time everywhere he went. Always had a big smile which was so contagious . He loved his family dearly and was always there when anyone needed him. Everyone enjoyed being around him.  Of course never a dull moment either. Just a joy to be around. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
