Joseph Maurice Vial

Joseph Maurice Vial passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Tina Solomon Vial for over 23 years. Loving father of David Vial (Gail). Grandfather of Amanda, Ashley, Jessica, Baylee, and David Jr., and great-grandfather of Maddison, Caleb, Cody, and Chloe, and expecting one more new arrival in December. Son of the late Gertrude Lang Vial and Maurice Joseph Vial. Brother of Shirley Mae Humpfrey, Doris Nethuland, Al Romano, and the late Joann Griffith, Terry Romano, and Bernard Romano. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was as native and lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, graduating from Warren Easton High School. He served as an engineer at Mercy (later Lindy Boggs) Hospital for over 30 dedicated years. He was a people person, who enjoyed visiting with friends, especially when sharing a good meal or watching a great Saints game. He was dearly loved by all his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Wednesday morning, July 1, 2015 at 11:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00. Interment will follow in Morgan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions benefiting his medical related expenses are preferred.
