James Daniel Ray

James Daniel Ray, age 79, entered into rest on Sunday, May 3, 2020. Beloved husband of 30 years to the late Frances Foust Ray. Devoted father of Nicholas James Ray (Stephanie Bourgeois). Son of the late William Moses Ray and Ilah Birdie Albritton Ray. Brother of the late Joann Edgemon. Uncle of Michele Gros (Tee Gros). Great uncle of Dillon Gros and Dustin Gros. Friend of Barbara Green. Mr. Ray was a retired pump technician for the Jefferson Parish Sewage and Water Board and was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall on Jefferson Highway. He was an all around handyman and was multi talented in several areas including mechanics, music and home repairs. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the guitar, singing and dancing. Most importantly, Mr. Ray was a wonderful, devoted husband and father and was loved dearly by his wife and son. Mr. Ray will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
