Mr. Jack Terranova

Jack Terranova, age 77, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Terranova was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA for the past 50 years. Beloved husband of Carolyn Benedetto Terranova for 53 years. Father of Kim Marie Terranova, Karen Terranova Peterson (Grant) and Kelly Terranova Siegler (David). Grandfather of Derek, Drew and Ross. Great grandfather of Colin. Brother of the late Mike and Gus Terranova and Lena Terranova Labourdette. Son of the late Joseph and Josephine Macafore Terranova. Mr. Terranova was a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army from 1951-1954 and served in Korea during the Korean War from 1951-1952. He worked as a grocer in the family owned business, Terranova’s Food Store and he was also an avid golfer. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 beginning at 5:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s Chapel.
