Gary Leonard White

Gary L. White, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Virginia L. White for 28 years. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1974. After leaving the Army he retired from Lockheed Martin Space Systems after fifteen years of employment, He also worked at Metairie Country Day School in maintenance and had retired after 5 years and recently went back part-time working 2 days a week . His loved ones would describe him as a hardworking, accomplished, and an overall great man. Son of the late Gustave White Jr. and the late Emelda Eber White, brother of Marlene Vallory and Gustave White III, brother in law of Buddy Vallory, Betty White, Charline Knight, Linda Provost, Milton Knight (Nita) and Kathy Wheat (Oneal). Uncle of Mark Vallory, Scott Vallory, Gustave White IV. Step father of Edward Brown and Diane Brown. Also survived by 4 grandchildren Dwayne M. LeBlanc Jr., Elizabeth Brown, Michelle Howard, Michael R. Howard Jr. and 3 great grandchildren, Mason, Ava, and Mia.

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Saturday, February, 08, 2014, at 3:00 pm, where friends may call after 12:00 pm.
