Frank George Hinkel, Jr. passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in Metairie, LA at the age of 92. Frank was born in New Orleans, LA on November 24, 1928 to Frank George Hinkel, Sr. and Bertha Salome Hinkel.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Kroeper Hinkel and his sister, Shirley Hinkel Lae. He is survived by his only daughter, Karen Hinkel Pratt, his sons, Karl Hinkel (wife Lucye) and Kim Hinkel (wife Bonnie), six grandchildren, Bret, Chad, Michael, and Joseph Hinkel, Kristy Pratt Dekaris, and Kasey Pratt Koehler, and nine great-grandchildren, Brittany, Lauren, Connor, and Wyatt Hinkel, Anthony and Isabella Dabdoub, Lillian and Nicholas Koehler, and Noah Dekaris. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, William F. Kroeper, Jr.
